苏轼 <冬至日独游吉祥寺>

井底微陽回未回,蕭蕭寒雨濕枯荄。
何人更似蘇夫子,不是花時肯獨來。

- 蘇軾 <冬至日獨遊吉祥寺>

How things are

It all depends on how we look at things, and not how they are in themselves.

當下

似乎我們總是很容易忽略當下的生活,忽略許多美好的時光。而當所有的時光在被辜負被浪費后,才能從記憶裡將某一段拎出,拍拍上面沉積的灰塵,感嘆它是最好的。

Why this is so ...

The sun shines and warms and lights us and we have no curiosity to know why this is so; but we ask the reason of all evil, of pain, and hunger, and mosquitoes and silly people.

Today

Happy the man, and happy he alone,
He who can call today his own:
He who, secure within, can say,
Tomorrow do thy worst, for I have lived today.
Be fair or foul or rain or shine
The joys I have possessed, in spite of fate, are mine.
Not Heaven itself upon the past has power,
But what has been, has been, and I have had my hour.
-- Horace
(Poem #1365) Odes, Book 3, Verse 29: Happy the Man

Life handed you a lemon

"Life handed him a lemon,
As Life sometimes will do.
His friends looked on in pity,
Assuming he was through.
They came upon him later,
Reclining in the shade
In calm contentment, drinking
A glass of lemonade."

- Clarence Edwin Flynn

If you can't explain it simply, you don't understand it well enough.
- Albert Einstein

The difference ... trivial

The difference between what the most and the least learned people know is inexpressibly trivial in relation to that which is unknown.
- Albert Einstein

Add a new page with specific labelled posts to your blog

1) Go to your blog dashboard, and select Layout

Existence

People commonly travel the world over to see rivers and mountains, new stars, garish birds, freak fish, grotesque breeds of human; they fall into an animal stupor that gapes at existence and they think they have seen something.
- Soren Kierkegaard (Danish philosopher)
